行銷台灣觀光英計程車與地鐵都看得到

（中央社記者黃貞貞倫敦7日專電）行銷台灣觀光，即日起英國的計程車、地鐵及媒體，都將看到大量「亞洲最未被發掘的旅遊地點」的促銷台灣廣告。

台灣觀光局斥資逾25萬英鎊，雇用75輛倫敦最經典的黑色計程車，未來3個月，將在穿越大街小巷時，讓「觀光旅遊除了台灣，還去那兒？」（Where elsebut Taiwan）的宣傳廣告大量曝光。

觀光局委託英國公關公司與創意廣告公司合作，未來6週每週在倫敦地鐵刊登1000個台灣觀光廣告，並在部分人潮眾多的地鐵站電扶梯牆面上，以動畫方式播放廣告，期待能提高台灣知名度，進而吸引更多英國民眾前往台灣訪問。

此外，觀光局同時在銷路大的「星期泰晤士報旅遊雜誌」（The Sunday Times Travel Magazine）、「每日電訊報雜誌」（The Daily Telegraph Magazine）、英國廣播公司寂寞星球雜誌（BBC Lonely PlanetMagazine）等，刊登廣告。

總計2009年英國共有4萬4815人次前往台灣訪問（1萬9796人次前往旅遊，1萬6500人次前往洽商），觀光局期盼今年強力廣告促銷下，能有更多英國民眾前往寶島旅遊。（中央社）。990207

Taiwan launches tourism promotion blitz in Britain

London -- British taxis, subway trains and news media have all become new vehicles to help attract visitors to Taiwan, as part of a massive tourism promotion blitz launched in the United Kingdom.

Taiwan's Tourism Bureau has paid 75 classic London black cabs a total of 250,000 British pounds (about US$390,625) to carry "Where else but Taiwan" posters on their daily street cruises over the next three months.

The bureau has also commissioned British public relations and creative advertisement companies to design and put out 1,000 ads, which promote Taiwan as Asia's least known travel destination, in the London subway system weekly over the next six weeks.

Taiwan-themed promotional anime will also be displayed on panels close to escalators in some very busy subway stations during that period.

In addition, the Tourism Bureau will place promotional ads in mass-circulation publications, including The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, The Daily Telegraph Magazine and BBC Lonely Planet Magazine.

In 2009, Britons made 44,815 visits to Taiwan, including 19,796 pleasure trips and 16,500 business visits.

Taiwanese tourism officials stationed in London said they hope the promotional blitz will result in a significant increase in the number of British visitors to Taiwan this year. (by The China post)
